It's sort of both. Theoretically, the parents are just bad parents, but they're fucking their kids up in much worse ways.

My generation royally messed up the future..economically,socially,and parenting..and technology didn't help matters much..I don't blame the Millennials for being how they are..I blame my generation from bad parenting and bad government policies governing how we raised and taught our kids

First, "The problem with this generation" complaint has existed as long as people and language. The only real difference is there's now a name, Millennials, to focus all the criticism to.
Second, it's not just Millennials that are "The Problem." I'm seeing more and more people my age (late 40's) and older than think they're more important than anyone else, the rules don't apply to them, and everyone better bow down and kiss their precious little asses. It's getting absurd the number of people that feel they can do whatever they like now, and how quickly they fly into a rage when anyone dares to question them. Millennials have their share of unique problems, certainly, but they're not "The Problem" these days.

Just saying, anyone that complains about how millenials are ruining the world, watch this video. Millenials aren't the problem, it's how we have been brought up.

A person still has the power to change themselves though..especially if they acknowledge that there is indeed a problem. I think people using reasons like these as an excuse for their faults but not trying to better themselves is kind of weak.

At the beginning of the video, I thought this was going to be something that would make me angry and put me in a bad mood. But I enjoyed it, and I think he has valid points.

I debated for a while on whether to post or not, cause I don't like causing controversy...but in the end,I decided to let you all decide if he was right or not

He makes excellent points, but I think it's off the mark to practically place zero blame on the individual. My parents did a shit job with me, corporations have always been heartlessly greedy, but I still turned out ok (more or less). You are responsible for your actions. Saying that it's not the person's fault and blaming society is way too forgiving. This coddling attitude is what brought us the "I also ran" medals in the first place. People need to take a straight look in the mirror, and if they don't like what they see, suck it up and do something about it.

But your parents are a big part of making you who you are.

I think the biggest problem are the top and bottom banners everything has these days.
But seriously, I was pleasantly surprised by this video.
