Well a poor grade is a bad metaphor, an unwanted pregnancy affects many more people as well affects them more harshly. If everyone is just going to "live with the consequences of their actions" everyone is going to be miserable. The woman would have to carry and support a child she doesn't want, the man would have to financially support a child he doesn't want, and the child would grow up in less than fit environment, whether with the parents or in an orphanage. Yes, the old "they chose to have sex" argument is one thing, but most abortions are not used as birth control. There is border checks in the U.S. in quite a few places near the border but nothing that can't be avoided. It's usually just a border patrol officer that asks if everyone in the vehicle is a U.S. citizen, then just waves you through after you say yes. They occasionally have drug/bomb dogs but these checkpoints are hardly what most would consider "high security", the border checkpoints are much more strict.

Well technically El Paso Texas has the wall just as huge. Never seen the border anywhere else in Texas though.

In New Mexico, the wall is huge here and the border openings look like toll booths, it's pretty damn hard to get through. But people do it.

The big deal is the pests get to it and they cant sell it, any of it, not to humans or use it as animal feed. It just goes to waste which in small quantities isn't too bad, but if we stopped using pesticides the majority would be totally inedible. There wouldn't be enough crops to feed our livestock or ourselves. Yes some pesticides can be pretty harmful, but until there is a different soultion, I would much rather they use pesticides than have even more starvation than we already have in the world.

Well to be fair the price is 1k for 1 prescription, depending on how often they need this prescription refilled + the other prescriptions they needed (the post states the prescription is only one of multiple) it could really add up. This situation isn't 1k and he's cured, its more like 1-2k a month for several years depending on his illness.
